Most questions are easier to answer once you know whether you are evaluating pricing, free web tools, cloud sync, or ForeFlight alternatives.

Pricing & plans

Free web tools

Use METAR / TAF, E6B, and aviation converters in the browser before downloading the app.

Plans and billing

Choose the right tier before you build a workflow around it.

Is Pilot Kit free to use?

+
Yes. Pilot Kit has a free tier with core flight tools such as E6B calculations, METAR / TAF decoding, aviation unit conversion, live map access, limited track storage, and limited logbook entries. You can also use the browser-based tools on the website without logging in.

What is the difference between Plus and Pro?

+
Plus is aimed at active training and frequent VFR use. It expands records, aircraft profiles, checklists, and map capability. Pro adds cloud sync, analytics, broader data access, unlimited records, and the deeper cross-device workflow that individual pilots and instructors usually care about.

How does the Operator plan work for flight schools or teams?

+
Operator is not just a bigger personal plan. It is the team and fleet tier for schools and operators. It is positioned for shared aircraft, shared checklists, oversight, and administration. If you are buying for multiple users, evaluate Operator separately instead of treating it like a self-serve upgrade.

Devices, offline use, and sync

Know what works on your device before you rely on the app in training or flight prep.

Which devices does Pilot Kit support?

+
Pilot Kit is available across iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, HarmonyOS devices, and the web. That matters if your training setup is mixed-device or if your school does not want to standardize on Apple hardware only.

Can I use Pilot Kit offline?

+
Yes. Core calculators, saved records, checklists, and locally stored workflow data remain usable offline. Weather retrieval, live online data, and some connected services still need a network, but the product is built so a pilot can keep working after the connection drops.

What does cloud sync include?

+
Cloud sync is designed for the data you actually revisit across devices: flight logs, aircraft profiles, checklists, and GPS track logs. The app can keep working offline first, then push or pull updates when a device reconnects. The dashboard also surfaces sync status and connected device management.

Flight workflow and product fit

Understand where Pilot Kit helps most and where you should still verify with your own operating requirements.

Does Pilot Kit include aviation weather and E6B tools?

+
Yes. Pilot Kit includes METAR / TAF decoding, aviation weather workflows, E6B calculations, unit conversion, and related flight-prep tools. The landing site now exposes part of this stack as free web tools so users can try weather and calculation workflows before downloading the app.

How is Pilot Kit different from ForeFlight?

+
The biggest differences are platform coverage, entry cost, and how quickly you can start. Pilot Kit supports Android and HarmonyOS in addition to iOS, offers free web tools and a free tier, and is building a workflow that spans app, landing tools, and dashboard instead of assuming an Apple-only cockpit setup.

Is Pilot Kit FAA approved or a replacement for certified equipment?

+
No. Pilot Kit is a pilot workflow tool, not certified aircraft equipment. Use it with your own regulatory judgment, aircraft requirements, and approved material. That applies especially to navigation, training, and any workflow where your operation depends on certified sources or approved procedures.
