Pilot Kit's Aircraft Management system puts all your aircraft data at your fingertips, with intelligent templates that save hours of data entry and seamless integration with every calculator and tool in the app.

Why Use Aircraft Profiles?

Accurate aircraft data is the foundation of safe flight operations:

  • Calculation Accuracy: E6B computations are only as good as the aircraft data they use
  • Quick Reference: Access V-speeds, weight limits, and fuel data instantly during flight
  • Multi-Aircraft Operations: Switch between aircraft without re-entering data
  • Training Transitions: Easily manage profiles when transitioning to new aircraft types
  • Rental Operations: Keep profiles for frequently rented aircraft ready to go
  • Safety: Always have correct limitations and performance numbers available

Template Data Included

Each aircraft template comes pre-loaded with comprehensive specifications:

  • V-Speeds: Vs0, Vs1, Vx, Vy, Va, Vfe, Vno, Vne, and type-specific speeds
  • Weight Data: Empty weight, max takeoff weight, max landing weight, useful load
  • Fuel System: Tank capacities, usable fuel, fuel type, consumption rates
  • Engine: Type, horsepower/thrust, RPM limits, oil capacity
  • Dimensions: Wingspan, length, height, wing area
  • Performance: Cruise speed, range, service ceiling, rate of climb
  • Category: Aircraft category, class, and type designator

E6B Calculator Integration

The real power of Aircraft Management comes from its deep integration with the E6B calculator:

  • Automatic Population: Select your aircraft and E6B fields are pre-filled with correct values
  • Weight Calculations: Aircraft empty weight and fuel capacity flow into weight & balance
  • Fuel Planning: Fuel burn rates and tank capacity used for accurate fuel calculations
  • Performance Planning: Cruise speed and climb data used in time/speed/distance problems
  • Speed Limits: V-speeds available as quick reference during E6B calculations

Customization Options

Every aircraft is unique. Customize your profiles to match your exact configuration:

  • Modified Specs: Update values for STCs, modifications, or equipment changes
  • Personal Notes: Add notes about quirks, limitations, or procedures specific to your aircraft
  • Registration Info: Store tail number, serial number, and owner information
  • Custom Fields: Add additional data fields for your specific needs
